about southern pines civic club
In 1907 a group of forty-eight ladies, led by Helen Boyd Dull, formed the Southern Pines Civic Club for the purpose of improving the conditions and beautification of the town, education of the children and to welcome winter guests. Since that time, over 111 years ago, the club has continued their active support of the town and many organizations throughout Moore County.
Today the Club continues to be viable and active, endeavoring to fulfill the goals of the founders in responding to the social, cultural and educational needs of the Southern Pines community and those beyond.
Our Mission Statement:
To promote civic responsibility, education, cultural opportunities, charitable work and activities to improve the quality of life in our community.
The Club has a program once a month on the first Monday.

From October through May the Club meets the first Monday of the month. We have a variety of educational or entertaining programs scheduled by the Program chair.
We are always open to ideas on programs for the following year.
